Day Trip up to San Pedro

The day started with a rude awakening by Christine calling, asking about what are the plans for the day. I was still delirious from my sleep. Not giving specific information. After we hung up I fell right back to sleep only to be woken up again by Lysee's phone call. I missed the call because my phone had some how fallen on to the floor and slid under my couch. So I decided to finally wake up and had for the shower. After coming out I found my phone and saw I had couple of missed calls from Lysee, so I decided to just listen to the message she left. Then I got dressed and called Christine to let her know I am coming to get her, so I get in my car and begin driving towards my first stop of the day.

Along the way I had bad omens, or maybe they were just coincidences, anyhow as I was driving I happen to see a lot of road kill along the way. I think it was about 2 dead cats, a possum and one that looked like a bird but had a rats tail. Moving on, i get to christines house where we drag Ivan out of Christines bed and went on our way to pick up Lawrence. Before leaving we complained and question about where are we to eat. We were all hungry and had just woken up from a late of night of work or Internet spelunking. Not thinking much of it we assumed that Bethany would feed us or we would all go out to eat lunch somewhere. But before leaving, little Christine wanted her hungry satisfied that very moment, so she grabbed about 6 tangerines and stuffed them into her sweater pockets and ate them one by one as we drove to Lawrences house.

When we arrive at Lawrences Ivan and I sit in the car while Christines goes and gets Lawrence out of his house. She jumps into the back seat with Ivan and Lawrence sits up from with me. We proceed to our next stop, Bethanys house, where Lysee, Trezah, and of course Bethany awaits for our arrival. I park on the street on the next block because I didn't not want to make a left and a U turn to park right next to the complex. It seem like a decent place to park that wasn't too far, but our lazy butts complained about how we parked all the way in china when it was really just 1/4 of a block down from where we were heading. As we approached Bethanys door we had to jog our memories to figure out which one is hers. Christines figures out a more abrupt way of finding by making odd noises till someone came to the door, and it worked! Sure enough we a door open and there is Bethany awaiting our arrival.

Lawrence Ivan and I plop ourselves down on to the futon couch in the living room while Christine meets and greets everyone. After about 10 minutes of chattery someone offered us cheese cake, I don't quite remember who, but it was chocolate cheese cake. It was very good and apparently home made by Lysees mother. We finish our plate of cheese cake and finalized where we're going for the day. Look at Ivan I can tell he is anticipating something that caused him to have a very lazy and uninterested look upon his face. We than spoke about going to Belmont Shores and his expression was revealed to all as he stated about how they always go to Belmont shores. Everyone laughed and realized it was a comical truth, so I believe after a few more conversations we decided to go to San Pedro.

We depart from Bethanys residence and head towards our vehicles. We drove down 183rd street and made a right onto Bellflower Blvd got onto the 91 West and merged on to the 110 South and rode it all the way till the end. I knew we were in San Pedro when the free way had ended and there was a giant sign that stated "Welcome to San Pedro" we drove along Gaffey and went up and down hill after hill. Several times I began to worry about my car because I has a jumpy transmission and I had to be very catious about driving up these hills. After a few twists and turns we arive at the park located at the top of San Pedro where it over looks the city and the ocean and gives a very scenic view of the overall area around it. While there we snap a bunch of photos of all of doing silly things and exploring some of the area around the Bell of Friendship.

While at this park I saw that the park had alot of things that were rideable on my bike. So i comtenplate weither I should take out my bike and try to snap a few photos before the park security gaurd tried to confinscate my bike. After explore the Dome of Terror we had back to my Van and I take out my bike to ride in the parking lot. Just as soon as I do a few little tricks I can see the secuirty gaurd heading my way and eyeing my bike. So i quickly shove my bike back into my van where it sits safely.

As we countine to scout out the area around the park and we little places to snap a few photos. There was this little version of the Dome of Terror, that we call Mini Dome of Terror. Then we made our way around to this cicular platform where maybe a giant sundial once stood or one of those carasal. We snap a few pictures and leave our "marks" and went back to the Bell of Friendship to snap a few more pictures. Then we found this hill that Christine kept running up and down so i took a video of her tumbling down.

We then left and went in search for something else to do so we headed up the hill some more to an art gallery but it was closed, so we head back down the hills and made a right on 6th street where we parked and walked along the street looking at all the closed and for leased shops. It soon became late and our hunger caught up to us. We stood out side of this pizzah place called Nikco's, contenplateing weither or not we should eat there. As we stood there odd people came out and made weird comments that deterred us from wanting to eat there. One man came out and randomly spoke to us "Put anchovies on everything, it makes it taste good" and walked away. After much thought and walking back and forth we decided to give it a try. We ordered two pizzas and a side of bufflo wings and garlic cheese bread. And as usuall we end our meal by creating a food sculpture made up of all of our left overs.

A
fter along days of walking around it was time to head back and get a nice cup of coffee from Its A Grind on Del Amo and Palo Verda. Thats when Justin showed up and we talked and and told him about what he had missed on our trip up to San Pedro. After listen to some local kids play their guitar in the coffee shop and finished our last drops of coffee we headed to Justins house where we played rock band and thats where I ended my night.
